After getting swatted by his grandparents' cat twice, Colin came up with a new strategy for approaching her. Here is how he explained it to us -

First, you go step, step, step toward the kitty (Colin tiptoes).
Then, you quickly pat, pat, pat (Colin pats the imaginary cat).
Then, you turn and run (Colin screams and runs away).

Colin met his cousin Kai for the first time this week. They are both 3 years old, and both of them repeatedly asked when they would get to see "my friend" and "my cousin." After some initial shyness, they began playing together and Kai said, "Let's go upstairs, my friend." It might be the cutest thing I've ever heard.
